On July 15, 2025, Broadcom announced a major consolidation of the VMware Cloud Service Provider (VCSP) Program. This change has sent shockwaves across the IT ecosystem, impacting not just providers, but their end users as well.
What’s Changing?
Under this new model:
- Impacted VCSPs can no longer onboard new customers after October 31, 2025.
- They will also lose access to VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) licensing once their existing Broadcom contracts expire.

- For VCSPs: Your VMware-based, go-to-market strategy may no longer be viable.
- For End Users: Your current service provider may lose the ability to support or grow your VMware environment moving forward.
